Twelve kingdoms: Patch note v1.0.2.2
Elves, Dwarves on war rams, Harad and Isengard complete the roster: twelve kingdoms. Wargs for every orc and uruk host, new animations, five new battlefields and a one-click installer.
Contents · 6
The biggest update so far. With it, the two hosts are complete: five kingdoms for the Last Alliance, seven for the Forces of Shadow, 32 regions and 352 classes.
Four new kingdoms
- Elves: Lindon, Mirkwood and Rivendell, with their own body and hair. Lindon’s officers and lords march in the gilded silver-and-gold set; Círdan, Gil-galad, Thranduil, Legolas, Elrond and Glorfindel are among the lords.
- Dwarves: Erebor, the Iron Hills and Ironpass. Their cavalry rides war rams in medium, heavy or elite barding, with the new Dwarven lance; their archers use short bows (Erebor) or heavy crossbows (Iron Hills, Ironpass).
- Harad: the Haradrim and the Southrons, with scimitars, tabars, bamboo spears, Harad lances and adarga shields.
- Isengard: the Uruk-hai of the White Hand, from berserkers and sappers to crossbowmen and scouts.
Wargs for the Shadow
Every orc and uruk host now has warg riders: Mordor Orcs, Morannon Orcs, Black Uruks, Snow Orcs, Pale Uruks, the Uruks of Dol Guldur and the Uruk-hai. Their lords may ride albino wargs.
New animations
Updated action sets: the animations behind the new peoples and weapons.
Five new battlefields
- ValleyBattle: a green valley ringed by mountains, castle ruins at its heart. Usable rock piles and arrow barrels were removed so the fight stays a field battle.
- ForestBattle: a forest split by a ravine and a shallow stream; flag C now sits on the east bank.
- OasisBattle: a desert lake with sunken statues and a fishing hamlet.
- PlainBattle: the largest field of the event, rolling grass with nowhere to hide.
- battle_small_oasis_01: a compact field among ruined walls.
Spawn bases on ValleyBattle, OasisBattle and PlainBattle were moved so that both armies walk a similar distance to each flag. The Lórien and Mordor maps are now named Forest_of_Lorien2 and Mordor2, and all twelve maps ship inside the module again.
Fixes
- Cardolan and Rhudaur colours swapped.
- Elf preset fixes.
- Dwarf eyes fixed.
Installing this version
The Steam Workshop update was blocked on Steam’s side, so this version comes as a package to install by hand: download the zip, extract it, close the game and double-click INSTALL-LotRMPEvent.cmd. Keep your Workshop subscription: the game loads the local copy first. Versions 1.0.2.0 and 1.0.2.1 were the Steam re-publications of the same content; 1.0.2.2 adds the new animations.
