Mordor marches, and Rhûn is rearmed. This update adds the kingdom of Mordor, gives each clan of Rhûn its own weapons, makes big battles run smoother and steadies the game on the players’ side.
The kingdom of Mordor
- Three playable regions: Mordor Orc, Morannon Orc and Black Uruk, each with infantry and archer classes.
- New weapons: Uruk swords and halberds; Morannon swords, greatswords and spears.
- Mordor and Morannon shields, and small shields for the Mordor skirmishers.
- One lord per class.
The arsenal of Rhûn
- New weapon types: one-handed axes and maces, two-handed maces and swords, and the Harad glaive.
- Every clan now fights with its own set:
- Loke-Rim: swords
- Dragon-Wrath: maces
- Wainriders: swords and the glaive
- Balcoth: axes
- Far-Rhûn: axes and maces
- The Gilded, Flame and Shadow presets carry their matching weapons, and the Flame and Shadow cavalry ride in Khamûl’s barding.
Skirmisher options
Archer officers and lords can now choose a bow or javelins, and lead the skirmish line.
Cleaner names
Presets are named by region and role, such as “Mordor Orc Melee Infantry” or “Gilded Archer”.
Smoother battles
Everything from 1.0.1.2 is in: the waiting line at the gate, paced spawns at round start, no damage during warmup, fixed map changes, and a morale bar that lasts about nine minutes.
A lighter Core
LotRMPCore ships with smaller textures to cut memory use. This should greatly reduce the texture-related crashes some players were getting.
